Very sensible tip, roseetta.
Watch English movies and TV programs and read English novels (Start with the easier ones and those with simple plots. I started with Nancy Drew and Bobsey Twins). Also practice your writing by composing short poems and essays in English. And yes, talk in English as much as possible. Don't worry if you're not good at it yet. Do not be ashamed and embarrassed.

This can be difficult. But it's just a question of courage. I felt this way also when i was learning FRENCH! you just have to give it a go. People will correct you if you make an error. If they do not ask them too, before you speak!fangel wrote:im watching english movies regularly for improving english but i dont have enough confidence in speaking..plz help me ..

There are a lot of ways to learn English. Listening to English songs, watching English movies, and recording your voice to know your mistakes are some of the great suggestions. However, it's really advisable to have someone who can guide you in doing these things. Good new is.. you don't have to ask one of your friends or someone from your family to help you. Hi!
For improving your English ability, how about reading fairy tales?
It doesn't matter it's easy one or difficult one.
I think you already know many stories of fairy tales, but if you read fairy tales in English, not your own language, it will helpful for you.

Learning English requires action. You may know all the learning tips, but if you don't start doing things, you will achieve nothing. The fact is, if you want to learn to speak English well, you must change your life. Here are some examples of things you will have to do:
1.Read a book in English for an hour every day, analyzing the grammar in sentences and looking up words in an English dictionary.
2.Listen to an audiobook or other recording in English, stopping it frequently, trying to understand what is being said, and trying to imitate the speaker's pronunciation.
3.Spend 30 minutes in the afternoon practicing the pronunciation of the English "r" sound
carefully write an e-mail message in English, using a dictionary or a Web search every 20 seconds to make sure every word is correct, and taking 5 minutes to write one sentence.
4.Think about an English sentence you've read, wondering if it could say "a" instead of "the" in the sentence, and trying to find similar sentences on the Web to find out the answer.
5.Walk down the street and build simple English sentences in your head (talking to yourself in English about the things you see around you).
