While March 8 is the international women's day, some busybody suggests and put into operation that Aug 3 be the men's day, very interesting, eh?

Over here, the "special" days, as for example Saint George (day of the book and rose), are made for the consumerism. Christmas: consumerism. Thanksgiving: consumerism and a long, long etc.

China has invented,developed or resurrected some festivals which can rival the international ones, if you have known some Chinese living in big cities of China, some of them would know about such festival as Men's Day falling on Aug 3.
Tomorrow also marks another copycat festival of Valentine's Day, the west one falls on Feb 14, the Chinese one falls on the seventh day of the seventh moon of lunar calendar, which is tomorrow Aug 6 on solar calendar.
