1 "Forty" is the only number which has its letters in alphabetical order.

2 "One" is the only number with its letters in reverse alphabetical order.

3 "Rhythms" is the longest English word without the normal vowels, a, e, i, o, or u.

4 There is no word that rhymes with orange.

5 "Go." is the shortest complete sentence in the English language.

6 Of all the words in the English language, the word 'set ' has the most definitions!

7 Only 3 words in the English language end in "ceed": "proceed," "exceed," and "succeed."

It is always interesting to learn new things about the English language. I knew about go being the shortest sentence- you is the understood subject- I teach this all the time to my 7th graders and they are amazed.

I just looked "set" up; I never realized how many ways there are to use that word!

Very very interesting. I don't think I knew any of those.

We learn something new everyday, don't we?
