I guess what Lee meant was a language with no rival. In other words, it is used worldwide and no other languages are used in such a scope.

the answer is clear. because globalisation is a huge firm. firms governs our world. and they interest only money, not cultural richness...

Do not be afraid, I think we could speak our native language with the local friends, speak English with the abroad friends

Well I don't see any other solution, I can't talk to you guys in Catalan and expect you will understand; as well as you can't talk to me in Vietnamese
