The Stubborn Storm
My family thought that we could go to the Flea Market before it started raining. Because we saw the temperature today on TV, it said it could have rained at noon. The sun in the morning gave us its warm, and even dazzling face. The people around us were normal as usual. Even the little children were running at each other, maybe competing at the game store made them so content. The hot unnormal weather gave my cousin and me a different look. Such as I didn’t know why I was so happy today for being outside. Screaming, jumping, and bustling around, my cousin could be hit by the others. Talking about the wind and temperature, my family thought it wasn’t sure that it’d rain today. Making fun at the losers in the game store, the children were so noisy anyway. The wind was gentle and light before raining. Also, the coffee store was dry, clean and fresh in the middle of this hot sun.
Unfortunately, the wind had changed a little bit when we came here 1 hour ago. It became impetuous and damaging to the outsiders. It was pure, blue, and white cloud. Then later, thunder and wind rushed together and came to the city. Around above us, the mist and fog were coming in. Perhaps they tried to surround the sun as the way they had happened sometimes before. Plus, the weather was becoming a cold, chilly temperature. The people were so dizzy and badly mixed up by running away from the dropping rains. I was a little anger because if it wasn’t raining, I could see the colors of the sky, colors of fruits, and especially cute boys who walking around in the market. Looking at each other, my family was in a dead silence. Scared by the storm, my cousin couldn’t be fooling around anymore. He just sat there and looking at the outside. It was a pity for him because on Sunday, he could be playing with the other kids at the market while waiting for us for marketing a few hours. In addition, the sun wasn’t warm, but only vanishing and fading away, or maybe the sun tried making another hot sun for itself after the rain. When I turned to find the little children in the game store, they were not gaming anymore, but only were in a good silence. I wondered how long it was going to rain at this hour. While I was looking at the single dropping rain, it made me sort of lonely. The rain was like a gloomy musical tone which is surrounded my live time. It smelled as a dieing rose in the bottle without water feeding it. But my older sister Jamie thought that the rain was just being likes the leaves falling in a cold autumn. It’s never been stopping rain in fall and spring. Finally, after 2 hours raining, it stopped. Everything has been changed around. Taking a look at the sky, it was still gloomy but really better. The loneliness I feel after rained was that like a dead fish on the plate. I recovered consciousness later, and still felt a little bit dizzy on my head, because my tasting and smelling about the rain were just like an insipid soup without anyone making it. Hiding behind my aunt’s back, my little cousin Danny was still worried. As his age, the children were into a thankful, calm behavior than ever. Eventually, my family was just a bit of shaken. They sighed a lot. Many stores that nearby us, they got much dirty after storming. Another damage is that the street is so much wetness. So that the ground smells was reaching our nose closer. The trees are much more green and clean. Blowing many dark clouds, the wind became more soft, very tiny and light than before. The weather was getting cooler and calmer. Thus, the popcorn and cookie smells got in a great sense for us. Later the sun was still shading a bit of light. It gave us a new look after rained. It’d be fresh, lightly and as orange as it used to be. As you can see, everyone and the environments have been changed a lot they became more peacefully, and more prepared in this San Jose city.
