it makes me think about a german song, whose some text is the following :

Du bist mein See (You are my sea)
Und ich schwimme in dir. (and I swin in you)

or (I don't exactly remember)

Ich bin dein See (I am your sea)

Your cup may be empty or full.
Your cup is empty, because you want, otherwise, it can be full.

I'm not a philosopher, but a usual man with limited mind in this world. Meanwhile I try to think about many questions, such as you wrote.

But, Guess is the onset of Think.

When you guess, you are preparing to think.

Then, perhaps you could detect the truth.

That sentence I said before ( While your cup ...) means that If you are able to help the others or you have ability to serve, you'd be better to do it.
This is a human property.

And shokin your poem reminds me of a poem I adapted and rewrote from Franz Kafka:

I needs you, who seems to me like a sorrow, which hurts me very much, like the death of one, whom I preferred more than me, like if I'm thrown out into the woods, away from all human, you must be the axe for the frozen sea inside me.

People who are chosen as president, people who get a higher place in a society, get up never for the supposed reasons.
