Pledge of Love in the Year of Snow

Hi everyone. I'm Rowena Chua, a new member here in the English club. I am a 3rd year college student studying to be a teacher with a major in English at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. I have always been fond of writing poems and so I decided to post one of my works here. I wrote it when I was in 3rd year high school. It is actually a sonnet. Please enjoy! Any comments or questions will be greatly appreciated.

Pledge of Love in the Year of Snow

Pages turned and flew to the year of snow
Sitting beside her I cry from within
I love her dearly, yet only I know
Time passes by but I never can win
I stay and weep locked in my cage of red
Place of deep slumber where dreams are just dreams
When the sleeping awakes to what it dreads
The curious night will swallow all its screams
The sand fades away and a new day comes
Swirls of colors will bring hope to the dawn
The song of the new morn to thee it hums
My true love for thee will never be gone
Under the same moon, same star and same sky
I pledge my love for her will never die

Oh and also I have a trivia...I actually made this poem for my mom. haha. go figure ;p but then again its still applicable to a different kind of love

I didn't know how to write poems too before. You should try it sometime. It especially works for me when I have strong feelings or emotions that I want to let out and I do it through writing. I know you can do it! Let me know of your works soon!

I agree with you I prefer drawing, but for the last year I didn't draw anything and I don't want to do it....
