much or a lot of

Post by Awence »

She's got much money.

She's got a lot of money.

while i think both are correct as much is used for uncountable nouns, whereas a lot of is acceptable for both countable and uncountable nouns. Please HElp me to drive the dark clouds away.

'Much' is used in questions and negative sentences, but not usually in positive sentences.

'She's got much money.' is a positive sentence, so 'much' is not acceptable in this sentence.

'A lot of' can be used in all types of sentences.
