I'm a not-so-starving artist working on future NY Times

Post by Aikuzo »

"I'm a not-so-starving artist steadily working on writing future NY Times bestsellers"

I don't get this sentence.... first he says he's not a starving artist (ok), steadily working on "writing" (I thought he's an artist, how come it ends up in writing?), future NY Times bestsellers (does he trying to say he's a writer who is not "well known" yet but working his way up to writing NY T bestsellers in the future? And BUT still financially ok), and one day achieving literary rockstardom.(means he believe he'll be BIG someday?)
Pls correct any errors you see on my writings on: nouns, tenses :)

"Practice makes perfect!" xD

One meaning of artist is: someone who practises any of the creative arts, including sculpting, fiction-writing, poetry, music, filmmaking...

All the rest you have about right.
