Yes, "keep on helping please" is a perfect example.

Here is an example for keep:

John: I found $100 yesterday.
Mary: Did you take it to the police?
John: No, I decided to keep it.

So, then "keep on" must be in contrast to "keep back", right? :-D

The phrasal prepositions completely change the meaning of the verb.

examples

keep on ~ continue
keep back ~ stop
keep down ~ decrease
keep away ~ do not stay close to something (because of the possible danger, usually)
keep from drinking ~ control yourself that you do not start to do it
keep in ~ the man was kept in the police station even though he was dumbfounded.
keep in with ~ continue to be friendly with someone especially if one is a hand to you.
keep off! ~ don't go!
keep out ~ stay out
keep to somewhere ~ stay in the particular place, keep to our plan,..
keep up with ~ stay in the race, not lagging behind

It is great to have her eye kept in teaching me the language!

Thanks :-D
