Hello
Can anyone tell me how to pronounce the phonetic symbol /hw/ as in word whale?
Should I pronounce /h/ then /w/? Or /hw/ has another specific sound.

Re: A question regarding a phonetic symbol
whale
/weil/ is what should be said but not too slowly and not fast, I think.
Imagine you're going with your hand over a very young whale's head
The h sound should be pretty muffled, a lot a lot muffled, lost actually.
The one who wants to say that word should have prepared himself to say the sound h first but rather not saying the sound h at all.
