someting strange

Post by Vega »

Hello boyz'n'girls,

What do you think the following could mean:

"Not only the finest long short story that Hemingway has ever written, but one of the finest written by anyone anywhere."

How can it be long and short at the same time? Could you explain me, please?

hi Xkalibur - it means that it is quite long (lengthy) for what technically is still
a "short story".
