No "the" before ALL sports?

No "the" before ALL sports?

- I hate tennis.
Pls correct any errors you see on my writings on: nouns, tenses :)

Do not use the for games and sports.

But is there a general guideline here or something... to know all the ones I need not to use "the" for?
