Hello again. Sorry, one more question about "also". Is it possible to say,"He called her clever and beautiful and also (as well as) the apple of his eye." Maybe just "and".

I would say just "and", although "and also" doesn't sound too bad to me.

"He called her clever and beautiful and the apple of his eye."

Or perhaps ,"He said she is clever and beautiful and the apple of his eye."
