Hello Everybody!
Please, could anyone help me with this question,however?

In one definition the following is given:
A robber robs a person or a place,
But A thief steals something.
Notwithstanding, the following answer to the one of the quiz questions is given from
this source:
My car is robbed: they took the CD player.
According to the definition above why is stolen not used in this case?

Because "a car" is a place, as the definition says. If "The car was stolen", the ENTIRE CAR would be gone, not just the CD player.
