Hi English Experts,
please let me know which sentence is wrong, I conjecture the wrong sentence is 3, however, I want to ensure it and thoroughly understand how to use 'despite' appropriately, thanks.

1) These apples are yummy despite looking ugly
2) Despite the ugly look of the apples, they are yummy.
3) Despite these apples look ugly, they are yummy.

One and two are fine; change three to "Despite these apples looking ugly, they are yummy." You can also say "Despite looking ugly, these apples are yummy" and "Despite their ugly look, these apples are yummy."
