Relative pronoun after preposition

The picking of the fruit,_________, takes about a week.
A. whose work they receive no money B. as the receive no money for that work
C. for which work they receive no money D. they receive no money for it
-In your opinion, which is the correct answer ? Why ?

I would use the c or the a, but my first choice is c, I choose it because it sounds good for me. when I don't know the correct answer I use that one who sounds better.
