Intelligence or Intelligent

Post by calcium »

I hope I'm posting in the right section.

My question is very simple. I want to create a slogan for my engineering club. The slogan will also be used in our club t-shirt.

Engineer - Profession for the Intelligence
vs
Engineer - Profession for the Intelligent

Which one is correct? The former or the latter?

I don't want to screw up the slogan as everyone can see when we put on the t-shirt.

Any help is appreciated

The grammatically correct version would be "Profession for the Intelligent"

However, it sounds a bit boastful. "Engineering: Intelligent Design" would be fun. It's a "play on words" for creation theory, also it's not saying "you're not smart if you're not an engineer." Just a suggestion :P
