Hi, friends.
What's the simplest way to identify a gerund and participle in a sentence?
I'm so confused, please tell me a simple trick that can help me identify the gerund and participle.
Many many thanks in advance.

Re: How to identify a gerund and a participle
If it looks like a noun it's a gerund. Gerunds behave like nouns. For example, they can be subjects and objects.
Which ONE of these is a participle?
I am fishing.
I hate fishing.
Fishing is fun.
