I don't know the contents of all 30,000 videos...but Doraemon clips taken off the TV in Japan would be 'clipped' from YouTubes inventory, no doubt.

There are quite a few Chinese TV clips on YouTube as well...perhaps the Chinese broadcasters will follow suit.

What do you think?

I don't know since I don't know much about this law. For instance, there are a lot of the Simpsons clips at youtube, which I think are illegal, but again, I don't understand youtube's rules completely.

To me, when a station broadcasts their shows like the Simpsons, South Park, or anything like these, they have to buy the right to broacast them if those are re-runs. Or they have to buy the clips, I don't know. The bottom line is they cannot do it for free even if they have the ability to copy the clips from other stations. It's illegal to do it.

Sometimes, I wonder why those clips at youtube are being treated different. I mean, even what they have there are re-runs and personal redos, but they put those clips for public view. Therefore, they're longer private use. Shouldn't they be viewed and charged with the same rule?

This is a battle that Youtube/Google and the networks are going to have to fight in the days to come...the same battle that the music sharers are fighting.

Thanks for the exchange in thoughts.

I think they should respect the dead. What if someone wanted to open up YOUR coffin? I wouldn't want that to happen to me, it's disgraceful. I agree, wait till technology catches up with us and let the things inside the tomb or whatever be preserved.

Sony's PlayStation 3 is out in Japan

PS 3 is out in Japan

Wow, I never thought it would be such a big hit due to its price, over $400 bucks. And it will probably have the same sensation when it's here in the States or worldwide. As I'm not a fan of video games/systems, I don't see the worth of paying that much money for a game system. It's a waste of money to me! Stupid brother has been saving money for this ~. WTH!?!?!?!
