anyone remember this? this is what started this thread...
a high school student wanted to find out what people thought of Japan and it's people and this turned into a Japan-bashing session aimed more towards the Government.

Sorry DS but it looks like you've opened a door that's hard to close.

An old Japanese proverb states:
"if you believe everything you read, you’d better not read."

I've got a bunch of blogs about Japan. They're really well-written; therefore, I believe in most of them of doing a job job portraying Japan and Japanese.

You quoted, "if you believed everything you'd read, you'd better not read." I've read a lot of blogs about Japan and Japanese. I believe them. Anyway, never mind.....

spointo, do not be so angry.Every one has the right to talk. I think we don't need to argue something and DS has got something from this forum. The past has past, we should face the future, make our future better, i mean both China and Japan.

I'm not angry...I'm sad to see that so many people misinterpret the actual truth about whats going on...most people in this forum are talking about stuff they:

1. dont understand!!!
2. dont have all the information!!!

I said in previous posts that its important that everyone has a chance to voice their opinion...BUT why is everyone bashing Japan.

Why aren't you discussing things about how China is still treating Taiwan and Nepal and Tibet and other surrounding countries. You think you have a clean history??

Also, why did you choose to respond to only my post when there is some seriously angry people from china in previous posts...

tell them not to be angry why dont you!!??? read all the other posts before you post maybe!!

i wasnt angry but it's people like you that make me a little angry...actually, you dissapoint me coz ya simply dont have all the info but think you know the answer...

spointo, obvious you are angry, maybe our compatriots' voices are too aggressive, but you've got to konw that your country aggressed our homeland and massacre millions of our compatriots, BUT, your goverment still persist your old ways and do not apologize to Our country,Korea and other countrys that japanese aggressed in formal. i think if your attitute was same like german's, we could not so aggressive each other.
Beside, after WW2, we didn't require you to give us the war reparations--it's the astronomical number!! if you paid, your country could not develop so fast.
beside, Taiwan, Tibet and fishing island are always part of our land from hundreds years till now.
In fact, i'm very interesting in your country's culure especially the 戰國 history, and i also like campcom and their video games, SO, why not we can talk about those things instead of the the permanent argument?

why don't you read the previous posts. I'm not from Japan, I just live here. I'm not angry as I said, I'm tired of people out there not having all the facts before they open their big mouths!

It is really sad how much all Asian countries do not know about each other. A lot of Japanese do not really know the history of WWII, and most Japanese think of Japan as the victim in the war.

But, most Koreans and Chinese do not know that Japan has appologized for the war and war crimes. China did refuse to accept the apology. That seems somewhat rude, to refuse an appology.

Also, most do not know (as was posted on this forum) that Japan has given billions in aid $ to build up Korea and China... especially China. Not to mention all the Japanese direct investment in China that is building up China's economy, and not to mention all the items Japan buys from China.

The sad truth is the Chinese government uses the Japan issue to deflect critics of the Chinese government.

The sad truth is also that the Japanese education department is in the hands of nationalist right-wing politicos (and has been since WWII), and resists any negative portrayls of Japan in WWII.
