What do you think about chat?

Postby hungtm » Sat May 17, 2003 8:15 am

Nowaday, chat is very popular in Vietnam. Many people, especially pupils and students, spend much time on internet not for searching useful information, learning or others but for chatting. Why do young people like chatting? There are some reasons but I think the most important reason is they want to have someone to talk, then want to make a friendship and finnally to become lovers (is that right?). It's unrealistic. How many people make friend via chat? I'm sure that it's very very very bare.

So chat is waste of time and money. You can use your time and money to do more useful things. Do you agree with me? What's your opion?

In addition , i don't want to meet my lover in the Internet ( but make friend is okie ) . It's not true , it's just a lie . I don't agree with that . ;)

Well, you've found one of useful utilisation of chat. But I think you can know more worth information on studying, or any fields about any countries in the world by searching on the internet. This is more useful way. It's better than you chat with foreigners. Moreover, you often use short form of speaking English as well as slength other than formal and proper English so that it negatively impacts on your language.

About looking for a lover. Do you like to chat with a person who is the same gender as you are? Most of us say "No". And you? I just say that most of us, I didn't say ALL people. There are certainly exception cases.

Hi all,

I think that chatting has its advantages and disvantages. This depends on us. I have ever chatted for a long time. We can study English together, meet friends, reduce stress when talking to someone, … Fortunately, I met real friends and we are good friends until now. But after that, I felt bored with it because it took much time and many people chatted impolitely. :cry There now have many people sitting hours to chat and chat. Don’t waste much time on chatting, you can arrange your – approx. 30’ - 1 hours per day to chat effectively ;)

Chat is not only popular in Vietnam but also all over the world , i think that chat is not a bad thing. It depends on ur purpose when u r online .
The more society develops , the higher people's demand.
Chat ( i dont mean to mention searching info , document, reading news.....and the similar things ) in my opinion , helps u relax after working or studying , but u shouldnt addict too much .
Esp chat in English language will help u improve ur English , and u can also meet some foreign friends.
Bout friends on chat , it isnt true if we say that all the people are good and honest in the Net but there're many good friends on the Net .
As me , i also have some foreign friends on the Net , they are also nice and cool , they helped me much to search some pages and know bout their countries.
Those info supplied my study .
