Hi. I don't know much about the political situation in the Philippines as we don't get alot of news coverage about it here.

Can you give us a little bit more information on exactly what is going on there. "The philippine government this time is getting worse." :?

HEHEHE!.....

AN ASSOCIATE commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration was allegedly responsible for preparing the travel papers that allowed former Election Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano to travel to Singapore on July 14.

A source identified the BI official as Teddy Delarmente, a 1970 graduate of the Philippine Military Academy and classmate of former national police chief Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., now public works secretary, whose name had cropped up earlier as the one who escorted Garcillano out of the country.

The Inquirer tried to call Delarmente, but his phone just kept ringing. His staff said he was out of town and would be back on Monday.

Ebdane could also not be reached for comment. His staff said he did not come to the office yesterday.

Garcillano was placed on the BI watch list on Aug. 4 after the House of Representatives issued a warrant for his arrest. The House wants him to explain the wiretapped conversation with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in which Ms Arroyo
allegedly directed him to rig last year's presidential election....................... :? :?:

oh c'mon andre, give her another new story..
on the issue...
first, i dont think the scandal of the husband and the son of the president should not be correlated with her. i mean, their business is not always her business. so we should erase the mentality that if her immediate family is doing it(though, it has not yet been proved), she's also doing it. it would be unfare on her part if we think that way.
with regards to what is better, democratic or parliamentary, i believe resembling to our situation right now, a Charter Change is needed, may it be con-ass or con-con.. though i prefer con-con over con-ass. Democracy have helped us, yes, but it's the reason why we are worse than the countries worse than us before. We know our rights that's why we question, but how about our responsibilities and obligations as Filipinos?
