what do you think of China?

Postby chinesegirl » Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:10 am

Everything has two sides ,good and bad.
Every country also has own advantages and congenital bad traits.
China has over 5000 years history.Our ancients left us many good traditions but bad habits also exist.
What do you think of current China and you think what chinese should do to improve it?

Beautiful country though I have yet to go there. The only fear I have is China seems to be losing it's heritage and becoming too westernized too fast.

I am learning Chinese, and I see that it's not as difficult as I expected; however, it's really harder than English or French for foreign students like me to study. I'm very fond of Chinese food, it looks very attracting, so I thinhk that's great if you can conserve your eating and drink culture.

we have a idiom that is very hard to translate in English, its meaning is that nothing is more difficult than Vietnamese grammar. There is no rule in our grammar, especially in establishing Verb and Noun. About the sentence structure, it's similar to Chinese, so it's easy for us to study your language, except for the writing. Briefly, it's easy to understand Vietnamese, but it's very hard to understand how it is set up.

Thank you hatsumi.What a nice benediction! Your pronunciation was right.But if you were use Chinese Pinyin the 新年快乐=Xin nian kuai le.

Mr or Miss hatsumi,when is the Lunar New Year in Vietnam?Is it the same with Chinese Spring Festival(2006.1.29)?

i think its very easy for Chinese ppl learn Vietnamese and Vietnamese ppl learn Chinese, cuz there are so many vocabularies are similar each other!
for example:
China=Trung Quốc(V)=Zhong Guo(C) ,
dictionary=từ điển(V)=zi dian(C)
master=(部長)bo truong=bu zhang
......
"Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest. " - Mark Twain
