i think its very easy for Chinese ppl learn Vietnamese and Vietnamese ppl learn Chinese, cuz there are so many vocabularies are similar each other!
for example:
China=Trung Quốc(V)=Zhong Guo(C) ,
dictionary=từ điển(V)=zi dian(C)
master=(部長)bo truong=bu zhang
......

Does this mean old, long time, or country?

I am newcomer in Chinese but I think "Happy new year" in Chinese to transcribe phonetically is " Xin nian kuai le" .
In addition, one of weakness of Chinese people is bad English, I don't say every Chinese is not good in English but most of them do. I suffer a lot of trouble when I worked in Taiwan. Oh my good, Taiwanese ' English really really bullshit. Sorry if these are any Taiwanese here.

I knew that. I was asking if guo meant old, long time or country in Chinese or it meant something else. It's because I've heard that zhong guo means old, ancient place that is in the middle. I never really have the time to ask if it's really right or not.

Every country also has own advantages and congenital bad traits.
China has over 5000 years history.Our ancients left us many good traditions but bad habits also exist.
What do you think of current China and you think what chinese should do to improve it?

hehehe! good... china's a ever so beautifully country...I believe nobody object it ...right?? it no only has over 5000 years of history but also has too much historic site ...such as the Great Wall and military forces of arms and so on....
