master=(部長)bo truong=bu zhang
......

Does this mean old, long time, or country? :?

I am newcomer in Chinese but I think "Happy new year" in Chinese to transcribe phonetically is " Xin nian kuai le" .
In addition, one of weakness of Chinese people is bad English, I don't say every Chinese is not good in English but most of them do. I suffer a lot of trouble when I worked in Taiwan. Oh my good, Taiwanese ' English really really bullshit. Sorry if these are any Taiwanese here.

To Mikexiao: I'm a 20 year-old girl :)

In fact, the Vietnamese culture is under the Chinese culture's influence strongly. So that, the Vietnamese's Tet is the same as the Spring Festival of the Chinese. However, the Vietnamese's Lunar calendar has the cat instead of the rabbit of the Chinese's calendar.

I knew that. I was asking if guo meant old, long time or country in Chinese or it meant something else. It's because I've heard that zhong guo means old, ancient place that is in the middle. I never really have the time to ask if it's really right or not.

Miss hatsumi,it's very interesting that you said "the Vietnamese's Lunar calendar has the cat instead of the rabbit of the Chinese's calendar." Does that mean the twelve animals to symbolize the year are mouse cow tiger cat dragon snake horse goat monkey chicken dog pig in your country? Do you have the MSN account?We can talk about the culture difference between our nations.Mine is xiaoyuanhua_dcvc@hotmail.com
