Eccentric - "Departing from a recognized, conventional, or established norm or pattern"

Now if all Japanese girls were eccentric, wouldn't that make them normal? ...

Okay, sorry, I was being sarcastic when I was asking that question. I should have used the eye-rolling smiley instead of this one. Probably I clicked on the wrong one, and kept thinking I was having the correct one.

Anyways, eccentric, normal, abonormal, different, special, regular, etc. mean nothing close to a bad thing to me. When I say someone is different, special, abnormal (well, I hate this word, so I don't see myself using it), or eccentric, it means they've done something I haven't done, won't do, or never thought of in some cases, that's all. And it applies just to some cases. I wouldn't call a theft or murder eccentric or special since I haven't stolen, killed or thought of doing it.

I think in that case then everyone is eccentric to you. We've all done things you haven't done.

You can say that. Now how does it feel? Nothing, right? I just don't understand why some people were so uptight about that eccentric word. Geeezz, I was just playing.

I'm not arguing with you  don't cry! lol.. Just trying to understand your view.

So if we're all eccentric, wouldn't that make everyone normal? I guess one can say that "they seem eccentric to me", but to say "they are eccentric." ...

Sorry, what's the difference? Both are still criticizing someone, right? :?
