Then I ask myself: is taiwan part of China? Then I say to myself.. 'if it is then I like china for making good dramas'... and then my mind wander off. ;P

u said that china is full of uptight people?i really cant believe that..china has a great deal of rich men..and also china is the biggest luxury consumable market in the world..and TAIWAN is perpetual a part of china

There has a amazing changes in life style ,clothes, habit of eating and drinking ,thinking and so on from 1978 to 2007 in china.I think the best method of understanding China is that come to China and feel it by yourself.

I find that most people answering this question are from China... and I certainly do love China. It might be somewhat crowded or not fully developed, but after all she's my motherland. As the Chinese saying goes, no son will feel it shameful that his mother isn't good-looking.

The problem of relative poverty is very serious these days in China, some developing provinces citizens have insufficient food and clean water, and the government has never provided any aid for them, the childen don't have a chance to study,if they are ill, they don't have money to recieve a treatment, some international organizations like the Oxfam is trying to improve their life by providing their daily necessites.
I wanna persuade people to contribute money to save these poor people in China, they will be appreciated after getting your help!

We’ve got quite a lot of people! And so large land!
The people in modernized countries can enjoy high salary, good conditions because your industries can afford. Our economic grows rapidly while the money which can be used to achieve the prosperity and develop the well-beings of the nation is quite limited.
You all can not deny the modernized cities such as shanghai, shenzhen,Beijing and hongkong are international, and highly developed. The government has poured tremendous amount of money into these geographical and strategetically important cities. However compared with NEW YORK or some other cities, the differences are obvious. Actually we can! We are indeed able to build a city like New York in scores of years if we focus all our efforts to Beijing or shanghai or honkong which has good foundations. Even we can make it the modern Atlantis which glistens brightly on the east.
Why we don’t do that, do you know?
We have more than 1,300,000,000 family members. We are not willing to become wealthy and greedy elder brothers who disregard the young and poor ones. We love them. We share the same flesh and blood and will never forget that we have the identical name CHINA for thousands of years!! We adjust the expenditure and move quite a lot of resources to the west where are not well developed. This progress of development will be rather slow because quite a lot of things have to be done, and the money is insufficient.
We used to be rather wealthy; we had a large amount of gold, silver which was totally plundered in the wars. These robbers possessed our treasury and declared it’ was theirs. Then they move these to their countries by thousands of ships, millions of planes. How can a robbed person be affluent? BUT we Chinese people are. They took our money away but fortunately the most precious things left. It’s our dignity and ethnic spirit of perseverance and indefatigability passed down from thousands of years ago which you can not destroy.
We can not be that kind of civilized if you call these plunderers civil persons. You have no right to call our brothers and sisters uncultivated for it’s you that take our “books” away. It equals to you kill a person and scream that why there is a dead ugly corpse. You did it. My GOD please takes a look at what these cultivated people have done
Please forgive my words. Virtually the 2008 Olympic Games would be a good chance for you to get in touch with us and know us better. We are extremely welcome all of you to come to our nation and experience the games which transfer the meaning of human united. The five colored-rings and the dove with olive branch are the most beautiful things on this planet. We are all human beings, we are the same species. We should love each other and assist those who in need. No prejudice no discriminations, no wars. We devote all our hearts to building our planet as an Eden and everywhere is filled with love, isn’t it wonderful?

China is my motherland, and I love my country very much.

People in other countries may think China is a domineering country and civilians do not possess of their civil rights here.

China certainly has many aspects to be improved in the future, but it also has many glittery points do deserve respect from others.

I don't hope everyone likes China, I just hope who comments on China can be fair and tolerant.
