Are Asians really rude?

If they see you're light-skinned and Asian, you'll be Chinese or Japanese. If you're dark-skinned and Asian, you'll be Filippino. People I know who have dark skin have been called Filippino a lot. It seems like this is the only Asian ethnicity they can get out of. They don't guess if one would be Indonesian or something. I wonder if the Philippines is the only Pacific Islander country they know.

I've got no idea, pal. Maybe we just scattered all over the world and perhaps that's is why. And maybe Filipinos are just more sociable as other Pacific Islander counterparts would be, as adventurous as our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

And by the way, Filipino, not Filippino. Only double "P" when you spell Philippines.

And there are hundreds of thousands of Filipinos in California alone.
