Don't know if estonians are more or less polite than peoples in moscow.. but in traffic, are estonians surely more rude, unpolite, stupid and whatever than sweedish. only consolation is that italians are probably very likely worser..

And holding a door open to some old lady.. Better I don't do that. Once I was hold a door for a pregnant women with small kids... Something 1000000000 peoples wanted to use my kindness.. can't let door go too, because peoples are clever they hide them selves behind of little kids.. Don't wanna hit a kid with heavy door.

But mostly I dislike those polite seller mans "hello, can I some how help you"..

Aha! this kills me either! They are so polite that I want to take sweet smile away from their faces! :P If I need help I'll ask for it! there is no need to be obligatory polite with customers, they simply want to get more and more money offering you a cup of coffee and precious help!

Just well-mannered speech when you're already buying! You should agree (I guess you had the same) in the soviet union time sellers used to be rude to customers and it was their onliest marketing policy!

This is really different. In the States, if you don't offer for help or being offered for help in a store, it's considered as bad business. I and my coworkers have to go to meetings every six months just to hear them yapping non-stop about this. Even the managers or district managers have to go also (they have different meetings).

They then hire mysterious shoppers comming to stores to grade us. Their main point is on greeting and offering for help. Without those things, we'll get really bad grade. And bad grade means no bonuses for my manager and no raise for us.

Awwwww.... that was nice of you. You should keep doing it more often  . I once refused to go on a second date with a guy because he didn't open the car's door, restaurant's door, and movie theater's door for me. It was a good date in general, but I just don't date guys who can't even have that little politeness. I mean, I can open the door for myself, but we were on a date. Be a gentleman for crying out loud.

You know, when I was little and with my friends. We went in a group to go see something, I forgot. I was behind my friend. She opened the door fist, and then she closed it when I was about to get in. I thought she would hold it open a little bit longer before shutting it, so the next one could get in.

I got my hand, foot, and face slammed by the da8n door. She apologized and I told her it was okay, but gosh, I was thinking "stupid girl, you couldn't even turn around to see if anyone was behind you???"

May I ask for your definition of extra sensitivity? Have you ever told someone to "shut up b!tc*" because you lacked an extra sensitivity chip? Think about it. And while you're thinking about it, please also think about that being attitudey and being clueless are quite a bit different.

It seems like we haven't met yet. May I introduce myself to you? Hi, I'm Lennye Tran. I judge people. I think this introduction should tell you something about me.

GoldenPearl wrote:I can't say that what they do is wronge

Yes, you can because what they did were totally wrong. See, how easy it is to say?

Yes, I can forgive and forget, but it doesn't say anything about the fact that I can't judge their personalities as a whole. By the way, i thought I admitted that there was some stereotype in my judgement; however, it sounds like you refused to acknowledge it. Hmmmm... whatever!
