The idea that women are not as intelligent as men is deeply rooted in chinese culture and hard to shake off , how do you
think of it

I am wondering people in China still kill the unborn baby girl so they can get a change to have a baby boy since the government allows them to have only 2 children. :(

Wewe,

I agree with your observation. In fact, the Chinese Culture is too broad to be explain in just one or two paragraphs.

I am of the view that the culture itself stems from creating and maintaining harmonious relationships, which refer to both vertical and horizontal relationships. The vertical relationship refers to all relationships from our ancestors, ourselves and our successors. The horizontal relationships refers to all relationship between us and other people. It's indeed, for me, a complex equation.

Notwithstanding this, such relationships also refer to the relationship between us and God and also nature.

It is really unfortunate, however, that some elements of this culture are disappearing nowadays. Perhaps i am wrong but younger generations do not put much attention on this old yet wonderful culture.

I think the 'Analects' provides a lot of insight into Chinese culture.

It obviously won't tell you everything about China but it's a great start.

Oh and Karl Marx is also worth reading.

The best idea to approach the Chinese culture, I suggest, is to come here and check out a real China. Then you will find people here are as happy and nice as you are;)
I remember an English girl, when she noticed my friend's feet are much smaller then ordinary English people, said these words to us, as if she knew much about the present China:"I know you Chinese girl will take a surgery to make thier feet smaller...". Well, it did happen loooong ago, but some people just stick to those empression they know from history book. That's why China is wide open to friends from all over the world.

obviously you guys have a lot of misunderstanding about China,China is not the same as 50 years ago.and they don't kill the unborn baby girls because there's no need to do so since males and females are equal in China.in many families parents even hope to have baby girls.

Indeed, here in Hong Kong, women generally are becoming more intelligent than the men...
I just.. don't know. But women just start to earn more than men do, and more women go to the universities than the men.
The fashion of the world is to avoid cost, and you encounter it.
