Please. What is she saying? I know that she said something about her husband's affair, as all the blogs online said. However, I'd like to know the whole thing. Every word of it. I only understand and heard her saying the word, China, in Mandarin. Something, something, something, Chung Quo, something, something, something..... right?

Still thanks a bunch for your offer, though. At least, there's a good news that I know where to ask if I need help with the translation for now on.

further details

Postby ninesuns » Sun Mar 23, 2008 3:02 pm

in fact, you can get further details on the right of that video

CCTV famous speaker Bin Zhang(张斌) for Sports Channel(Now Olympics Channel) facing unfaithful accusation from his wife Ziwei Hu(胡紫微). His wife reveals the scandal when Zhang is speaking for the ceremony of CCTV 5 changing to Olympics Channel.

Translation from magicscofield.

This was a press conference which aimed to change the name of CCTV sports channel to the Olympic Games channel.
When it began, Ziwei Hu (the lady in the video and she is also the wife of Bin Zhang) was speaking, Bin Zhang (the tall and fat man who was standing besides Ziwei Hu) hesitated whether to stop his wife.
These are the context of this video.
Hu: ... but one day, I'm standing here on the stage, not as a host of a TV show, but as the ... wife of Zhang Bin. Please allow me ... (interrupted) ... to say something here. Just give me one minute, please.
Hu: Today is a special day for the Olympics Channel, and the same true of Zhang Bin, as well as me. Just two hours ago, I got to know that my husband, Mr. Zhang is now having a relationship with a woman.
Hu: Next year, China will witness the 2008 Olympic Game held here in Beijing, which, undoubtedly, will draw the world's great attention. However, as a French Foreign Minister has once said, if China is not able to make its values ... (voice-over: no more shooting), what's the use of all these? Is there any meanings at least? (A lot of people trying to drag Hu off the stage). This is the way you treat an armless woman? How could you treat me like this?
Hu: (Hu struggling) last word, please, last word. Shall we at least be a little graceful? As a French Foreign Minister has once said, China will not become a great country until its values can be accepted by the world. Here you can Mr. Zhang, such a gentleman in suit, standing here ... but do you know that he is not able to face himself, not even his wife, who has been hurt so deeply by him.
I do believe before China truly becomes a great country ... (to the people who are dragging her off the stage) do you have at least a little conscience?! Hands off! ... There is still a long way to go.
Hu: The last Sunday, perhaps. Tomorrow, all of you will have a long and pleasant vacation, but of course not Mr. Zhang and me.

Hu: I'm very sorry for the interruption, but I'm ...

Zhang: I apologize.
