Harry Potter's "mother" from Europe

Postby RedRose » Fri May 06, 2005 6:58 am

Hi, guys, here is an outstanding woman from Europe, she is J.K. Rowling, called "Harry Potter's mother". Look at this pic, how happy are she and her new husband.

http://www.360abc.com

when she started to write the best-selling book Harry Potter , she was a divorced, single mom. but she wrote the most imaginative novel, with her baby in her arms!

What a woman! how amazing!

My daughter is a crazy fan of Harry Potter. she just asked me:"mom, if my english was good, I would write a mail to thank Harry Potter's "mother". would you write her a mail in english? thank her for writing so nice book."

So I write this post here, I hope J.K. Rowling can browse this forum   BTW, it is said that J.K. Rowling is expecting her 3rd kid, congratulations!!

here, are there any fans of Harry Potter?

I am not a fan of those novels. However, last year a friend of mine told me he was a great fan (although he's about 30) and suggested that I read them. He sent me 4 Harry Potter novels by e-mail and I read the first one. I must say I liked it a lot, and after that I watched the first movie and I loved it.

I haven't read the others nor seen the rest of the movies and I am not sure I will (I have been told that in the second movie spiders appear and since I've got arachnophobia I don't think I will watch it), but now I understand why it's become so popular.

I read the 5 first of Harry Potter.

But I am not really able to explain them in english. :?

But it is not my favorite. Better is The Lord Of The Ring.

Mr Potter, famous as much in the history as in the story ?

I'm not a Harry Potter's big fan but, my kids specially my son is really interested in the books and the movies.

I bought for him one of Harry Potter's books, i don't remember very well which one but, the important thing for me is that the book is the english version, so it's a fantastic chance for him (in my opinion, of course) to practice english, Arturo (that's my son's name) finds English enjoyable and easy to understand!

So I guess I should thank Potter's Mother too
