Sevilla or Madrid?

Greetings,

I am an American chosing between Trinity TEFL in Madrid or IH CELTA in Sevilla. Of course Sevilla sounds wonderful due to the fact that I want to be in Andalucia and closer to Portugal. Any comments on which certificate is most useful in Europe and whether finding jobs in either city is more probable?

Also I would be pleased to hear from anyone with experience in Portugal. I hope to venture there after the certification.

Hi there,

If you're trying to come to Spain, Madrid offers more possibilities as the capital city of the state. You can easily go to Portugal from there too.

Of the certificates you mention, I have the impression that Trinity is better known in here.

Madrid does seem to be a better choice for all of these reasons. I'm just concerned that the cost of living will be very high and that travel to Portugal may also be expensive. I am able to afford the course but will need to spend as little as possible until I have found work. Sevilla strikes me as more simple which I like. (I have spent the last year in New York City and am looking forward to calming down.)
