At México there are jokes about Gallegos, as at USA are jokes about blond women.
I mean -I don´t know if Dixie knows that- After the civil war at spain, in the 40´s too much people from Spain come to México. much of them were from Galicia "Gallegos" and theye were too special people, they usually don´t understand the life in a big city and make all kind of mistakes. example if they see the tv and the tv showman said "Goo Morning ladies and gentlemen" the gallego answer to the TV. "Good morning sir". as if the showman hear them.
I don´t want to say the word but they were a little slow to understand some things. Then at México people began to do jokes about the gallegos whre the gallego was that slowly man.
Sorry friend, what I said was only a joke because you don´t understan well, but maybe the Gallega must be me.

Hahahaha!! That's a good one, Elba. Listen, could it be the same in Argentina? I know that Argentinians called the Spanish people gallegos, too.
