How do I get the right time of day on my posts? &????

Can any one tell me how to input the correct time in on my posts? I am in California but I am not sure how to put in the pacific time? Greenwich time plus ????
Also how can I add a picture...(gee you folks are really clever!)
From a computer illiterate sort - but one who is willing to learn! :oops:

I think it's Greenwich time plus 10

How to upload a picture as your avatar? Go to your profile and pick one already given or upload one from your computer

I calculated on my hand to deduct eight hours from what was posted and that still did not seem to be correct but by my time it should have worked it is actually 3:08 ...afternoon, so maybe that will help -I will try what you suggest.
