Certanly, dear friends, Picasso has a particular style, different to Monet. It is difficult to understand his painters, his ideas.
In order to understand that kind of art, we need more than the observation.
Understand Monet is easy, only see the picture and you understand what are you seeing, but in the case of Picasso is different. You need to understan the historic, politic, social context, and include the particular life of Picasso.

IN the next link you would find a very famous picture of Picasso "Guernica".

See carefylly and tell me what you observe

Now, if you observe with too much atention you could detect the violence of the war.
The picture is about the facts at april 1937 when spanish government trow bombs to the citizens of Guernica, a Vasque town of Spain.

Please see the expression of the woman who is getting away of the place. TERRIBLE, Isn´t it?

I like Picasso too, although his art is not always pleasant to watch, but beauty and aesthetics are two different things. About "Guernica", Picasso actually had started working on the painting already when the Germans bombed the town. The painting is about war in general, but the events in Guernica just helped him decide on the title of a work already in progress.
