hi! i'm from costa rica and i have an assigment, i need to get some info on different cultures. can somebody tell me about their national cultures, i will like to know cool things like for example the oktoberfest(i think it's spelled that way) in germany.

In Russia we also have Oktoberfest, there is an amount of discounts and prizes in Moscow bars, the variety of sausages included

how is the oktoberfest in russia, is it fun? how long does it lasts? do you see a lot of people from other countries?

well, actually, there is no some extraordinaries in all this celebration, just another way for frittering money away. I don´t need Oktoberfest to drink much beer if I really want, I guess it was on economical gains by the brainy managers of Moscow pubs
another kind of festival that has much more in common with the Russian mentality is Maslenitsa - a striking combination of both paganism and orthodox Christianity. we bake pancakes and pay visits to our family and friends. if you're interested in some peculiarities I'll teach you if you're willing
