the America business is business

Postby loveisblue » Mon May 02, 2005 2:52 am

Hi everyone, "the America business is business" is a famous statement of the American president Calvin Coolidge when he was in power. I really don't understand what he meant. So please help me if you know. Thanks so much!

You are welcome, loveisblue. Having read the article in the web-site, i don't really understand what they are trying to say. it seems that they are talking about the appropriate attitude toward money and business. I am pitty confused. and feeling dizzy now.

Chet Baker, yeah, it is hard to understand. As much as I could get his words, he means that a person who wants to do business in America should pay much attention to his career. He should be self-reliant and workaholic. Business is America's pride. It is always hot in this country. Americans say all people have chances to succeed in the US. It is a land of freedom and wealth. This should be reconsidered, however.
