I have friends here that get offended by being referred to as Whites and I can tell you they are not idiots.

Well I can tell you that they are idiots and I'd even go so far to say that if you have friends that are that touchy and sensitive and can't handle the fact that their skin is white then not only do they have serious problems but so do you. Why don't you get a clue man and stop spreading rediculous rhumors around about the English language. People come here to in hopes of getting accurate knowlege of our language and customs. Exactly, people come here either learn English or speak English. Don't you think it's better to tell the better term such as Caucasian than White? And read his post again. He said some people would get offended. Check for the words there. Some. Some never mean all. And some don't represent the whole human's population or the whole Caucasian's population. There are SOME people who do get offended by degrading terms. Just because they're sensitive, they're idiots? What are you, 12 years old or something that you don't take others' feelings serious?

Danyet, I understand now, you are a representative for the entire white community. What if I said the same thing applies to the African-American community. Some African-Americans get offended if they are referred to by their skin colour. But then again, I'm guessing you will find that preposterous as well, right? Maybe you should consider thinking outside the box or maybe, just maybe, you should step out of your one-man world for once. The world we live in is a big place.
