You're rite Len, it's hard for kids with that name. However, parents can name any name they'd like.
This situation is same in Vietnam.

Finally, some American women use their former last name as a middle name after they marry. For example, American Senator Hilary Clinton uses her former last name, Rodham, as her middle name. She was born Hilary Diane Rodham.
Will you do this Len ?

Wait for this one!  We have a local member of government (just retired) he was the member for Charlestown. Wait for it............his name was Richard Face.  Can you believe it :?: Who in their right mind would call their child Richard (Dick) when their last name was Face. I wonder how long it took them to pick his name.

Can you imagine what he must have had to put up with at school!

LOL! It is true people out there named their kid Dick since their last name Long or Little.  I am sure it’s extremely hard the boy with that name in school. I would not do that to my kids.

Imagine if your last name was Head or Flop, Hang..   I just can't see how parents of a little baby can look into the crib and say "what will we call our little boy". I know "Dick". I mean most people go "oh he looks like a Stephen" or "she looks like a Sarah". Do these parents look into the crib at their little bundle of joy and go "oh he looks like a Dick?"

Hmmm.. talking about this.... What about foreigners' names in your country? Do their names happen to have the same meaning or sound like any of your indecent words?
Some of the Vietnamese students here in the States have to suffer with their names because some of the Vietnamese words carry the same same spelling of indecent words in English or the way how they're pronounced in English. For example, Dung (pretty or heroism and strength in Vietnamese), Phuc (luck or blessing), Bich (jade), Ha (river), Quy (precious or turtle), Huy (sending light out, brightness) etc. One of the students in my class in high school had a Vietnamese name called Bich-Loan. Her English name is Jackii; however, since she was so biiiitchy and mean, people didn't call her with her English name or the full Vietnamese name Bich-Loan; they called Bich. And one of my neighbor's girlfriend's name is Dung. Her last name is Do. In school, they called her Dung Doodie. Gosh, kids can be so cruel.

I blame the person who didn't see the future of this name...
