I once rode a horse over the Truchas Peaks of New Mexico. That is the southern end of the Rocky Mountains. (a little over 13,000 feet elevation) I ran out of water that afternoon that I got to the top and had to make a "dry" camp that night as I was camped above the tree line. When I woke up the next morning, after a restless and thirsty night (dreaming of water and streams) I found that my horse had disappeared. After several hours of tracking the clever beast I found him by a spring of fresh water underneath the rocky peak of Mt Truchas.

I have plenty of stories from Northern New Mexico.

Danyet story remind me cowboy movies that I haven’t seen for long time. Actually they don’t make these kind of movies anymore. Yeah! “The best, the good and the Ugly” is awesome movie isn’t it? I don’t have any interest story but here is the link http://www.visitnewengland.com/ if you like visiting New England states.
