Internship in Los Angeles

Postby Masayuki » Sun Mar 05, 2006 9:37 am

This is Masayuki. To tell you the truth, I am in Britain. I came here 1 week ago, but I stayed Los Angeles, as an assistant teacher in elementary school as internship from the end of the January to the middle of the February,
It was a good experience for me. The working place is good, teachers good for me, I had a lots of things to do while working, and sometimes I taught some Japanese culture for them.
I saw second year student. It is tough, but they are so good for me.

How's L.A? I'll be there in May or Jun with my family since we'll go to Disneyland and maybe downtown L.A. My cousin's just got the permission to study aboard in the States from Vietnam government; therefore, we'll take her around before she starts school.

Yeah, L.A. is good place for me. I went there Jan, to Feb. In Japan there is so cold, especially this year. But L.A. is warm. So I do not have some trouble about weather. I also went to Disneyland and Univresal Studio. To tell you the truth, I am crazy about Disney. I went to Tokyo Disneyland at least 30 times in my life. So the experience of Disneyland in California was vivid to me with helped 50th anniversary and their dreams and magic.

Is there a big difference between Tokyo Disneyland and California Disneyland? And I'm a crazy fan of Disneyland also. Actually, my whole big extended family is. We have to go to Disneyland every year. Whatever year we can't go, it'll be a loss year for us.

My aunt and uncle from Vietnam came here several months ago for a vacation, and we took them to Disneyland. They cried when we got home. They said never once in their lives they could imagine they would have the opportunity to see Disneyland.

Well talking about DisneyLand... I visited one in the suburbs of Paris, I'm not sure if that was the best one. I still believe, that in L.A. DisneyLand is something that's beyond my comprehension... 8) But What I saw and what I tasted was absolutely incrediable!!! This is a memory of my whole not so long life... I wish I could visit it again... :!:

Some people said DisneyWorld is even better than Disneyland. I've never been to DisneyWorld, so I don't know.

I also do not know about DisneyWorld. But let me talk about difference of Disneyland of Tokyo and Los Angeles.
The main concept is nothing change. There is the same kind of atractions, like Hawnted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Sprash Mountain and so on. What is the most difference is about DisneySEA. Actually in Japan, Tokyo DisneyResort made Tokyo DisneySEA next to Tokyo DisneyLand in September, 2001. DisneySEA is not like Disneyland, like other ammusment park. But the atmosphere is so romantic, and we can drink alcohol in the park. That is the big difference of Disney in Japan and the U.S., I think.

LennyeTran! You are so cute! For adults only! how could Disneyland be for only adults? Are you serious? I figure the people in Japan are not as stupid when drinking, as the fools over here, they simply know when to stop over there  it is still safety oriented.(they have self-control there)

Children who are underage can't drink, so what is the point of being in a place that they're not allowed to drink? The place seems like an open public bar to me.
