English as a foreign language courses in USA

Postby Portuguesa » Fri Jun 30, 2006 6:48 pm

I am thinking about sending my 19th years old son to attend a summer English course for foreign people. Could you give me any help finding the best school/university which offer this kind of courses? The best city would be New York or Washington or another in the east coast. I would prefer somewhere in the countryside or in a little town next to those I have suggested.
He would need to stay in a family house programme.

Send him to California, so he'll have Californian accent. It's really attractive, you know.

 It's because you haven't heard of it. Can you say a person who was born and raised in Boston or Texas have a Californian accent?
