Pretty similar to the US's, I think. I know too little about Canada to explain further on.

I can only tell you about quebecer culture (moreover I am for the sovereignty of the Quebec).

They (Quebecers) are very friendly, sympatyc, very tolerand (probably more than many Canadians... especially about languages).

They have very good music (in french of course, I can give you, if you want, I've much much !!) !

You know what, Shokin, last night me and my bf were talking about how much we'd like to visit Canada some day. Jordi said he would love to visit especially Quebec and I told him about this boy I know from EC who loves the Quebec... he knew who I was talking about, because he saw your avatar a few weeks ago and thought you were Catalan :D

Yes, Ottawa is not away from Montreal... but - I was told - we can see a great difference between Toronto and Quebec... english-speaking vs french-speaking... Toronto is against sovereignty of the Quebec, actual president of Canada (Stephen Harper, a conservative), too. Last president of Canada (Paul Martin... Quebecer... liberal), too. So... not so easy...

I've not been to Toronto, or anywhere in another province than Quebec. I actually live in Switzerland. I've been twice to Quebec.

So... I don't know Toronto... and I am not sure that Quebecers' opinions about Toronto will be objective.

Dixie, you can tell (or have already told) Jordi that I am neither Quebecer nor Catalanish but Swiss. I look Catalan ? Most people think I am Chinese.

For the wheather in Quebec, I cannot tell you now. But much humidity on isle of Montreal because this one is between the two arms of the "Saint-Laurent". So, we can feel more. February 2005, I had been to... -30 Celsius (but usually it is - February - -40 (you've to protect you until nose)... but Warning ! Warming !). Juni 2005, I'd been back... 30 Celsius.

For music... send me a mail to shokinoui@hotmail.com .I had upload some Quebecer songs on a site but this does not work now.

Oh ! it does work ! (I had put the same link in the music section)
