Postby Shazzam » Sun Jun 17, 2007 10:12 pm

Just wanted to get some information on these two places in the States????

Your question does not make sense. You see Denver is the Capital city of the State Colorado.

Colorado is mountainous in the west and rolling plains in the east. A lot of people are into skiing in Denver, which is at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Personally I think it is possible to find some nice places to live in Colorado but I don't like Denver because of all the New York Yuppies who moved out there and ruined the place with their tree hugging, PC, Liberal ways.

They would be better off finding a nice place on the Red River country in Texas where they can shoot cans from their front porch without some nosey neighbour complaining.

Young Urban Professional People.

Basically they were the generation after the hippies who became wealthy and moved out of the cities to live in the country. But with them they brought their BMW's, big city ideas and tried to change the country people. They make the country life like the city life!

Danyet excuse my ignorance. I have to be honest I know nothing of US geography. Obviously the limited amount of information I was provided with by my son hasn't helped.

I think the reason why they were thinking Denver is because they need to make a living. I don't think they can afford to shoot cans from the front porch.

Thanks for the information. I must admit I am surprised they have picked there, I would have gone for NY or something. However I suppose the price of living has to be taken into account.

I doubt that you would like New York! that is an awful place for an Aussie to live for very long. Plus you would have to be quite wealthy to be able to afford to enjoy the advantages of a big city like N.Y.

I said that I knew NY was expensive  that's why they are looking at cheaper states. I just don't know anything about the economy in different states. They will have to sort it out for themselves. When I think of Colorado all i think if is WYLE COYOTE and ROAD RUNNER!
