Yes it is obvious that Mededev will win tomorrow because Putin has effectively shut out all his credible opposition.

What credible opposition are you talking about? I don't see any sensible and reasonable that was not fed by Non political organisations from abroad.
If it only were a kind of primaries in United Russia between Medvedev and Ivanov... Agree, Bogdanov is a mockery of a politician, the other two have nothing new to present, they are not stupid and tell true things sometimes (ahoy, communists now talk of religion  ), but people do not trust them any more.

The democrats will nominate MASTER OBAMA.

Why do you call him MASTER?

He is a MASTER. Ask Oprah. She is standing behind MASTER OBAMA.

She's too old to be a president. Too much make up on her face.

My vote is for Abraham Lincoln. He stood by his principles and saved the Union from destruction. He was strong in the face of adversity, but was never afraid to show compassion. I only wish we had someone of his strength and character to lead us today.

Now you sound like you believe the newspapers and TV here in Russia. Putin has them under his control too. They arrested 300 protesters against Putins party in November and beat the ~ out of many others some of them old men. And it is not fed from abroad any more then ANY good idea is accepted from anyone. Many of my Russian friends absolutely hate Putin for his actions but you will hear very little criticism of Putin from the media here. Russia needs a new leader with new ideas. But the sad thing is that most Russians don't yet understand what true freedom is, so they simply accept whatever is put before them.

You’re absolutely right. People deserve the government they have. All the kitchen acid talks are still kept in private, those “discordant” who march in Moscow streets every November are as miserable as those who still prefer to discuss politics while dining in a small group of three. If a new party appears in the political area, a party led by quite wise men, experienced, professional, it is always tend to join the main idea of keeping the right course chosen by the Leading Party. This is what makes me puzzled. I suppose we need at least one another party, same powerful, rich, whose ideas share many citizens, intelligent party. The one was created by the government, the next one is supposed to be created by the “masses of people”, from below. I guess it’s not the United Russia’s issue to create an opposition. If there is no any opposition in the country, why the Leading party to blame? Probably something is wrong with the people. Probably we just talk and are not actually willing to change anything. And the existent opposition (Kasparov? Kasianov? who then?) can’t make people follow them?
I wonder why you have activated the talk just after Putin agreed to become a head of the Party? It was expected, I believe.

I actually came to Russia with fond feelings toward Putin. I wanted to like him. But after seeing what he has done here lately I am afraid of him.
