Danyet, I have a very important question. What does “chick flicks” mean? ..Is it connected to Barbara Straisand?

It is a movie that girls like. You know, movies that make girls feel romantic and cry and awful stuff like that.

I don´t like that movie, I prefer action films.

This was intended as humor, my dear. The English language is has many ways of expressing humor, like any language.

And only humans have sense of humor.. I think. So I must say, the better your sense of humor is, the better human you are.

Stop spamming your greeting all over the board there, matey. One post of greetings and salutations is enough! I have deleted some of your other posts.

Hey Danyet, how are you?
I have a question. I saw in movies people in America don't put off shoes when come home, they walk in the streets then come home and sometimes sleep with the same shoes. Is that true? :-?

I do so too. I don't sleep with shoes, but in general I often walk all around in my home before taking them off in my (bed)room. Only movies where I have seen how people taking their shoes off are Japanese ones. There they have a clean zone or something.. They even have special slippers for toilet. But elsewhere.. I think it's just each other freedom to clean all that sand and dirt after them selves. Here people generally take them off, but seems I'm such a poor plebeian. {-:

Yep that is certainly correct! Us westerners don't bother to take our shoes off in the house generally. Sure if you going to stay in the house all day you don't need to put your shoes on. And if you feel the need to leave them on when you come home....well that's what you do! I usually take mine off right away because my feet are tired and my Mum would kick my ass if I wear them in the house but many people don't feel the need to take them off. A lot of the time guests are not expected to take off their shoes either. See! That is why the West is so "Free".

Well, the same happens here. People don't usually take their shoes off at home. I do, though, probably because I was raised that way: the first thing my parents do when they get home is to take off their shoes and put their slippers on. That's why me and my siblings do it, too.

I remember back in college my roommate didn't take her shoes off until she went to bed. Sometimes it made me nervous

yes, that sounds strange for me, brought up as well to take off my shoes at home. I do on the countrary - I'm used to took on my shoes (matching sanitary conditions) before going out long beforehand, you know, in this rush and hectic world you never know if these particular shoes fit you today as they did yesterday...

and for guests, when they come - all groomed and polished - slippers won't do any good at all. Actually this is preferable to bring shoes to change it at place already. I do that always (though rarely invited)
