Scuzi per favore, do you mean guests when come to your place should bring their own slippers with themselves to wear? :-) Or it's you who go with slippers... :lol: . Well, you're a very far-seeing girl. :-)

My dear fellow, I mean in winter/spring/autumn time women rarely wear high-heel shoes due to the weather here. If they are invited for party in a flat this is quite common to bring those kind of shoes and change boots for them, still to look pretty {-;

danyet wrote:Yep that is certainly correct! Us westerners don't bother to take our shoes off in the house generally. Sure if you going to stay in the house all day you don't need to put your shoes on. And if you feel the need to leave them on when you come home....well that's what you do! I usually take mine off right away because my feet are tired and my Mum would kick my ass if I wear them in the house but many people don't feel the need to take them off. A lot of the time guests are not expected to take off their shoes either. See! That is why the West is so "Free".

Well, the same happens here. People don't usually take their shoes off at home. I do, though, probably because I was raised that way: the first thing my parents do when they get home is to take off their shoes and put their slippers on. That's why me and my siblings do it, too.

I remember back in college my roommate didn't take her shoes off until she went to bed. Sometimes it made me nervous :lol:

I don't take off the shoes if the house has a hardwood or ceramic floor; I only take them off if there's carpet. I find it rude to walk on carpet with shoes since it's harder and more expensive to clean than other coverings. Sleeping with the same shoes is a strange thing I've ever heard. I wonder what it really means. :~:

Hey! What's up? I'm still here. I browse through looking for spam to delete and then I have a sandwich. I don't on online as much as i used to on account of I am in St Petersburg now and all the girls here take up a lot of my time. Ya now, how can I deny them my charming personage? Poor things. Oh well got to run. It's a warm day and they are expecting me go out by the fountain at one of those Lenin monuments and take off my shirt.
