It's San Francisco Bay Area to differentiate it from Tampa Bay Area in Florida. However, I have to say we coined the term "Bay Area" very well; we deserve it. We're the real Bay Area people; they're just a fake to me.

And Danyet, we don't really call San Francisco the Bay like other cities are located within North, South, and East Bay. We called it the city.
