Independence Day July 4th

Postby vince90 » Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:46 pm

This year the Independent day is on Friday and we will have a long weekend. Definitely I will have fiends and family come over for the cookout in my backyard and I hope it will be a lot of fun. Happy birthday America!

Really great, now I'm on vacation. I wish I was there for the 4th of July. I was there once, 7 years ago. Very memorable day

8-) I'm gonna go camping with my cousins and friends in Yosemite. I hope I'll see some Black Bears.

What do Americans usually do on that day?
We're all friends, right?

Not sure, but I know what my host family used to do. I remember that day very well, I didn't have no fun at all! Especially because I was hungry all day: I got up at 8 or 9am and just had a glass of orange juice for breakfast (which by the way didn't taste any good). My family used to eat a lot for breakfast -pancakes and other stuff- but I just wasn't used to eating too much for breakfast, especially because I wasn't hungry. So a glass of orange juice. What I didn't know is that I wouldn't eat anything until 6 or 7pm, when they started to cook hamburgers in the backyard. By the time I could finally grab a bite, I was starving

So, what they did was eat burgers in the yard while singing songs and throwing firecrackers, and later watching fireworks.

From where I live, a lot of people go to see the Boston Pops concert and watch the firework. On the hand, most families gather in the backyard for the cookout. There is a lot of food and a lot of drink.

That was cheap! We usually have a lot of food. It isn’t just burger and hotdog but we also have steak, rips, sausages and seafood. You won’t be hungry at my place Dixie.
